B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge – Blog Hop Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of the B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge Blog Hop. This is where I tell you about the line I’m building and share some photos, too.

My line features cameos, vintage jewelry bits-n-pieces and items purchased from B’Sue Boutiques. My line isn’t finished yet, but I’ve created some pieces and there are more in progress.

I’ve learned so much in the last month since the first blog hop! We’ve discussed fashion trends and colors, a pricing pyramid, and so much more! The pricing pyramid is a triple-tiered system of developing a line according to price points. The bottom tier, or foundation, is based on lower priced goods from $15 – $50.00. This is the range most people spend on gifts and things for themselves, without giving it a lot of thought. This way of pricing allows me to provide goods for a broader range of potential customers. I’m still working on items from the bottom of the pyramid, such as earrings, small pendants, etc., to help complete my line.

My line…hmm…some days I’m really pleased with how its developing and other days, I think it’s just okay!

I’m truly inspired by Victorian jewelry, especially cameos! I can’t get enough! You’ll see that in my line.

Don’t forget to visit all of the other Build A Line Challenge participants in this blog hop (listed at the end of this post); you’ll see how talented everyone is! Thank you for visiting my blog! Come back often for updates…

Coming together…

After watching one of B’Sue’s videos, I feel like I have a clearer vision on how to pull my line together. By no means has this been easy for me…but with the constant encouragement from our fearless leader and the awesome members of the B’Sue Boutiques “Build A Line” Challenge group, it’s starting to feel more cohesive!

Our next blog hop is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2015, I plan to reveal a few more items then.

And for some incredible brass stampings, charms, findings, one of a kind jewelry and more, visit B’Sue Boutiques!

Thanks for dropping by! Come visit again and let me know what you think of my blog!

A little sneak peek too…

I’m feeling like it’s time for a little “show and tell” tonight so I’m going to share a couple pics from the B’Sue Boutiques BALC. Please feel free to critique what you see because I always welcome your feedback.  Here goes:

Trying to think “Outside The Box”

I’m struggling with building my line and thinking outside the I box. I mean I know what I like when I see it and I guess that’s why I chose the line that I’m building, but then I see all of the photos posted on FB B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge and I wonder, why didn’t I think of that?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve already learns tons of techniques from the members of this challenge, I just need to have more confidence in my designs and think POSITIVE! Maybe this will help…

winning path

Snow, snow, snow…time to GO!

Been awhile since I’ve blogged or done anything really…I feel so out of touch with the world. If you’ve ever suffered the pain from sciatica, you know how I feel. I’m doing what I can to get back!

Add 3-4 feet of snow to that within a week, you’ll understand the subject of this post (snowiest week in Boston eva!).

In case you haven’t heard the wicked good news: New England Patriots are SuperBowl Champions again!  If you saw the game – it was a nail-biter! js

I hope to get back to jewelry making real soon.

Thanks for visiting!

Sunny Sunday!

Getting ready to brave the cold.  Just thought I’d drop a quick post and promote my website on WIX.  If you have a minute, please stop by and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

A little sneak peek…

I finally got some pictures to upload to Facebook and from there I was able to save a copy of each image and upload them into the blog.  I thought I would give you a sneak peek now instead of waiting until Feb. 20 at Blog Hop Part 2.  So here goes:

I think you can probably guess what my theme is,,,keep in mind that I love cameos and vintage jewelry!

Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to your feedback!  Love, Denise

B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge – Blog Hop

Wow!  I sure did get hopping today – blog hopping, that is!  I visited every member’s blog, what a talented group of people!

I had some problems uploading pictures to my blog, so I plan to make the big reveal at the next blog hop.  If I can figure out what’s happening with the camera, I may just post some photos before then.

Goodnight all!

A little about me and B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge – Blog Hop Part 1

Welcome to B’Sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge – Blog Hop Part 1

I’m Denise of Jewelry by Denise and I’m so happy to be here with you for the Build a Line Challenge from B’Sue Boutiques http://www.bsueboutiques.com This is part one of the Build a Line series of blog hops, where I will tell you a bit about myself and my background, and why I decided to be part of this challenge. It is an honor to be part of this group with so many talented artisans. All of us will be working hard to create a cohesive line of jewelry and pull our look and thought process together.   At the end, we will reveal a complete line of jewelry!

A little about me…

I’m from Massachusetts and have lived here all my life. Yes, I have that Boston accent…pahk yah cah at Havad yad!  I am the youngest of three, I have two older brothers (they’re awesome), my mother is still with us and she is unbelievable, she has more energy that I do. I’ve been married to my husband Norm for 27+ years and still going strong!  The lights of my life are my two Godchildren, Allison and Vanessa!

I’ve always loved jewelry, especially vintage and vintage-inspired pieces. I love to go to estate sales, consignment shops and thrift stores to see what I can find that will inspire me.  I love the Victorian era, the clothes, jewelry, the hairstyles, etc. I was definitely born in the wrong century. Anyways, I plan to incorporate some vintage pieces with pieces I’ve obtained from B’Sue Boutiques http://www.bsueboutiques.com.

I hope you visit my blog often! I plan to make the big reveal at the next blog hop.
